One of the best fish n chip restaurants in the Maritimes. The homemade fish batter is light and I have never had a bad meal ever here. You owe it to yourself to stop at this gem in Cap Pele, NB.

We stopped by on our way back from PEI at 2 pm, finished their so called " fresh" fish and chips at 2:45, by the time we got to the Moncton airport, both my son and I got massive stomach ache and discomfort, followed by diahrea. Unbelieveable!

Great restaurant, huge portions. My wife had fish and chips and I had a clubhouse platter. Service was very good and the food was great. They have a wonderful clam patter that would feed the family. With the change in the highway to PEI it is a little off the beaten path but well worth the drive. lots of parking including room for buses and trailers. Lots of seating as well. Will be stopping in for another "snack" next time I travel to PEI.

We found this place by via sign. One of the best eating places everyone either visiting or local need too go to. Staff are kind and serve you well. Food was the best we had ever had in Nova Scotia. My sister has visited Nova Scotia since the early seventies. Fred's is now top number one to continue to visiting. Five fish that you are served too you that are to die for. Figure of speak.
